Youth shoots self at Saras mela in Parade ground Dehradun

A youth working on a stall in the Saras Fair running in Parade Ground shot himself Sunday afternoon. The seriously injured youth has been admitted to Mahant Indresh Hospital. The police has recovered the indigenous pistol from the spot. Originally a resident of Gordanpur, Moradabad, Laxman (22) son Rajaram works with Vasant Vihar resident Suresh. Suresh holds a stall of terracotta products in the fairs. He told the police that a week ago Lakshman went home after getting his payment. On Sunday he returned and came straight to the stall in the trade fair held at Parade Ground. According to a guard, who was posted at the fair, told that suddenly Lakshman and Suresh, suddenly proceeded towards the gate while speaking loudly.

Suresh was preventing Laxman from speaking loudly, while Laxman was saying to push himself away himself from Suresh. Meanwhile Laxman shot himself with .315 bore gun near his chin and shot himself. As soon as the bullet hit Lakshman, he fell down on the spot. Suresh and his other acquaintances took Laxman to the hospital for treatment. Inspector Dalanwala Rajiv Rautan said that Laxman’s condition remained serious. His family has been called in Doon. The police has sealed the country made pistol. Police is investigating the cause of Laxman shooting himself by questioning Suresh and his family members. Inspector Rautan said that the reason for Laxman’s firing last evening was not clear.
