Bumrah’s 6-for gives India 292 run lead in third test against Australia

Backed by pacer Jasprit Bumrah’s 6 wicket haul TeamĀ  India gained the upper hand in the boxing day test against the Aussies. After declaring their first innings at 443, Team India bundled out the hosts for 151 runs. Jasprit Bumrah was the star of the show for the visitors claiming six wickets including a surprise slower bowl yorker to trap Shaun Marsh. On the third day of the third Test between India and Australia, Australia’s batsmen surrendered before the pace of Jaspreet Bumrah. Bumrah performed his career best, taking 6 for 33 runs. Apart from Bumrah, Jadeja got 2, Ishant and Shami got 1-1 wickets.
With the wicket of Shaun Marsh during the Melbourne Test, Bumrah made history. Bumrah became the first Indian bowler to have got 45 wickets in his debut calendar year (the first year of his Test career).
Not only this, the Indian team also made their record with Bumrah. This year, the Indian bowlers have claimed a total of 252 wickets in Test cricket. And they broke his own 39-year-old record. Earlier, the bowlers of India had taken 249 wickets in a calendar year in 1979.
