Suresh Raina announces retirement from all formats of cricket

Mr IPL Suresh Raina, who retired from international cricket on 15 August 2020, will no longer play domestic cricket for IPL and Uttar Pradesh. He has informed the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In a way, it can be said that after international cricket, he has also retired from domestic cricket. Raina, who scored 5528 runs in 205 IPL matches, was not retained by Chennai Super Kings last year and was not bought by the rest of the teams in the players’ auction. Raina has been practicing for the last one week at the RPL Cricket Ground in Ghaziabad. Raina said ‘I thank BCCI and UPCA for supporting me so far. Now I am free to play the rest of the leagues.’
