1st National Open Paragliding Accuracy Championship begins in Bageshwar

Paragliding accuracy competition has started in Bageshwar district. The paragliders took off from the hillock of Jalekh village and landed at Kedareshwar Maidan. District Panchayat President Basanti Dev inaugurated the competition. The three day competition is being held from April 12 to April 14.

Adventure tourism will get new dimensions in Kapkot

District Panchayat President Basanti Dev said in the program organized at Kedareshwar Maidan that Kapkot valley is full of natural beauty. There is a huge potential for adventure tourism. Pindari, Kafni Glacier and Sunderdhunga Valley are present here. Trekking, rafting and now paragliding is on the rise. Youth will be able to strengthen their economy professionally.

District Magistrate Anuradha Pal said that adventure sports are being increased. Nature lovers will also get the benefit of this. Adventure sports will be organized in future also. Adventure tourists will head to Bageshwar. Due to which tourism employment will increase. Along with sports, efforts are also being made to improve roads and transport facilities.

Tourism officer Kirti Arya told that the competition is being held among paragliders of eight states. In which 31 paragliders from Haryana, Himachal, Assam, Sikkim, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand are included. The first winner will be awarded Rs 50,000 the second Rs 30,000 and the third Rs 20,000 in cash.
