Heavy rain alert in 6 districts of Uttarakhand on July 10

Apart from the capital Dehradun, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in districts like Pauri, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Tehri on Saturday. A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in these districts. The Meteorological Department has told the need to take all precautionary measures in terms of natural calamities like landslides.

There is also a need to move people living on the banks of rivers and streams to safer places. Due to heavy rains, there is a possibility of heavy water flow in the rivers in some areas along with landslides in sensitive areas.

As far as the capital Dehradun and surrounding areas are concerned, the Meteorological Department has predicted several rounds of rain with strong thunder on Saturday. According to the report of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on Saturday will be 33 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 23 degrees.

Doon residents face high humidity

Due to the maximum temperature of 34.6 degrees in the capital Doon and surrounding areas, people had to face tremendous heat on Friday as well. Although meteorologists had predicted rain in Dehradun and its surrounding areas on Friday, but the weather once again got messy and people had to face tremendous heat.

12 roads closed due to debris in Pithoragarh, rivers in spate

Eight rural and four roads connecting China border are closed due to heavy rains and landslides in the frontier district of Pithoragarh for the past few days. People are upset due to the closure of roads. Rivers are also in spate. Due to this the people living on the banks of the river are scared. The administration has appealed to the people not to go to the banks of the rivers.

Dharchula received maximum rainfall of 29.80 mm. Didihat received 29.5 mm, Gangolihat 20, Bedinag 19.5 and Munsiyari 15.4 mm.

The Ghatiyabagad-Lipulekh, Pithoragarh-Tawaghat, Tawaghat-Sobla, Sobla-Dar Tidang roads connecting the China border are closed for the past several days. Due to this, contact with the China border has been cut off. Kali river is flowing at 888.20 meters due to heavy rains. Its danger mark is 890.00 meters. Saryu river is flowing at 446.40 meters. Its danger mark is 453.00 meters.
