Corona curfew extended till September 14 in Uttarakhand

Covid curfew has been extended in Uttarakhand by a week. At present, the Covid curfew is in force till 6 am on Tuesday. But, the government has now extended the Covid curfew till September 14. According to the new guidelines of the curfew, entry is being given to tourists in Uttarakhand only after showing documents related to hotel booking including RTPCR corona negative report as well as registration in Smart City website.

Tourists coming to Uttarakhand without Covid report will be investigated on the border itself. Chief Secretary SS Sandhu has made these orders on Monday. This order will be effective till September 14, 6 am. Although the government has banned the gathering of crowd in all social, political, entertainment, cultural functions till further orders, but it has also said that if approval has been taken for such an event before the competent level, then these activities can be done.

The police-administration has been instructed that the Covid guidelines should be strictly followed. Challan action should be taken against people roaming outside the house without masks. The Uttarakhand government has implemented the guidelines of last week’s Covid curfew till September 14. Although the rate of corona infection in the state has come down significantly, but the government is still not in favor of removing some restrictions.

Persons who have received the second dose of corona vaccine 15 days ago and if they show its certificate, then they will be allowed to enter the airport, railway station or at the state border, while those who will not be able to show this certificate, they will have to show negative report of RTPCR, TruNat and antigen test not older than 72 hours before.

It has been said in the order that business establishments will be compulsorily closed every day at 9 pm, while for hotels and restaurants, the time has been fixed till 10 pm. All district magistrates have been empowered to stop overcrowding at tourist places on weekends. No restrictions have been placed for movement within the state to various districts, however people will be required to follow the COVID guide line.
