199 new corona cases reported in Uttarakhand on 16 July
Corona infection continues to increase in Uttarakhand. On Thursday, 199 cases of Corona have been reported, of which 91 cases are from Udham Singh Nagar. Apart from this, 34 cases are from Nainital, 27 from Dehradun, ten from Tehri Garhwal, 30 from Haridwar, three each from Chamoli and Pauri Garhwal, one has come up in Champawat. At the same time, 47 people have fully recovered. The number of infected people in the state has now increased to 3982, while 2995 patients have been completely recovered and discharged from hospitals. So far 50 have died. Currently 904 cases are active, while 33 patients have migrated out of state.
20 employees of multinational company in Haridwar found corona positive
In Haridwar, 20 employees of SIDCUL’s well-known multinational company have been found to be Corona positive. A team of Health Department has been sent by the CMO to the concerned company, which is collecting information about the whole case. The District Magistrate has also given instructions to take caution with the meeting of all the nodal officers including the CMO. It is noteworthy that 50 employees present in the unit were home quarantined in the last days after the first positive patient of the company was found. Samples of all were taken. A private lab investigation report found 20 employees positive. CMO Dr Shambhu Nath Jha said that about one and a half thousand employees work in the company. Sampling of all them is being done.
