Uttarakhand corona update: Highest cases and recoveries reported in 1 day

Corona virus graph is climbing fast in Uttarakhand. On 4th May there was good news and there was bad news in terms for Corona cases in the state. The bad news was that a record 7028 new cases were reported on Tuesday, while 85 died. While the good news was that 5696 people have fully recovered. This is the highest number of Corona infected found and recoveries in a day since the Corona outbreak began last year. The number of infected in the state has now increased to 204051. Of these, 140184 patients have returned home after recovering. Currently 56627 cases are active, while 3015 have died so far. Apart from this, 4225 patients have gone out of the state.

The infection is also spreading rapidly in the hill districts of the state. There is no such district in the state, where less than hundred cases have come. Between 150 and 200 infected cases have been found in Pithoragarh, Almora, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts.

Over 2 lakh infected till date in Uttarakhand

So far, 2,04,051 infected patients have been found in the state, out of which 1,40,184 patients have recovered. Record cases have also come up in Dehradun today.

According to the Health Department report, 45213 samples were examined on Tuesday. Out of which the test report of 31018 samples has come negative. While the maximum number of 2789 corona infected patients has been found in Dehradun district.

Meanwhile, 657 cases were found in Hariddwar district, 819 in Nainital, 833 in Udham Singh Nagar, 513 in Pauri, 200 in Tehri, 135 in Rudraprayag, 231 in Pithoragarh, 153 in Uttarkashi, 170 in Almora, 150 in Chamoli, 215 in Bageshwar and 163 in Champawat. At the same time, the number of containment zones in the state has now gone up to 279. 3015 patients have died due to Covid-19 so far.
