“Will give more than Rs 50000 crore to Bihar when the right time comes” PM Modi in Bihar

On his maiden visit to Bihar after assuming power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said politics had hampered the development of the state and promised to give more than Rs 50,000 crore special package to the poll-bound state when the time is right. “When I came before the Lok Sabha elections, I had announced that we will give Bihar a special package of Rs 50,000 crore. Looking at our dreams for a prosperous Bihar, we will give a bigger package than Rs 50,000 cr. This is my promise,” Narendra Modi said.

“Nitishji said he has high hopes from our government, we are working towards fulfilling the states’ needs by increasing allocation to states. The development of Bihar is our Prime Agenda, development of eastern India is our mission,” the Prime Minister said.

Meanwhile, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar reminded Modi of his earlier promisies “You promised Bihar special status, the people are still waiting,” and also attacked his Central policies, alleging there was no scope in them for more funds for Bihar.
