Auto Expo 2023: Maruti showcases 5 door Jimny
On the second day (January 12) of Auto Expo-2023, Maruti Suzuki has launched its off-roader SUV Jimny in the Indian market. Jimny has been present in the international market for quite some time now. Maruti has been showing it at different events for the last five years, but today it has finally been launched. The special thing is that along with the launching, its booking has also been started.
Jimny will be available in 4 wheel drive, 5 door version
4 wheel drive and 5 door version of Jimny has been brought in India. This off roader car will be given a 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder K-15-B petrol engine. This SUV will generate 101 BHP power at 6,000 RPM and 130 NM torque at 4,000 RPM.
Jimny gets auto LED headlamps with washer
The car will get the option of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. Auto LED headlamps with washer have been given in this SUV. Along with this, the state of the art entertainment system has also been given in it. Jimny has been launched by the company in 7 colors and Alpha-Zeta 2 variants. It is being told that Jimny may be launched in India at an initial price of up to Rs 12 lakh.
Maruti’s premium SUV Franks also launched
Maruti has also launched its premium SUV Franks at the expo. Keeping in mind the young target audience, it has been introduced with a 1.2 liter petrol engine. The company claims that the features given in it make this SUV ideal for lifestyle customers.
You can book Jimny-Fronx for Rs 11,000
The special thing is that along with the launching, the booking of both Jimny and Franks SUVs has also started. Maruti will sell them through its premium dealership Nexa. Both can be booked by paying Rs 11,000. However, Maruti is yet to reveal the prices of both the Jimny and the Fronx.
