Waterlogging, traffic jam in Haridwar as monsoon reaches Uttarakhand

Due to heavy rains, most of the roads and parking lots in Haridwar became waterlogged. Due to which the people parked their vehicles on the highway. Due to heavy rush, the highway got jammed at many places. Amidst the rain, the policemen were busy in opening the jam. Tourists and locals alike had to face great difficulties.

78 mm of rains were recorded in Hardiwar on Sunday morning, due to which there was water-logging at many places. Houses and shops were inundated due to water-logging in central Haridwar’s Ranipur, Chandracharya Chowk and Bhagat Singh Chowk to Kankhal and low-lying areas of Jwalapur.

Due to heavy rush like every week on Sunday, commuters started parking their vehicles on the highway outside the parking lot. Due to which there was a jam on the highway.
