17 including 12 Indians killed in bus accident in Dubai

In the Dubai city of United Arab Emirates (UAE), a bus crashed into a signboard on route. 17 people, including twelve Indians, were killed in the accident. This has been confirmed by the Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar. The bus had 31 passengers. In this accident on Thursday, nine people were injured, the condition of five is serious.

Providing helpline number + 971-565463903, the Indian Consulate said that relatives of some people who have lost their lives in the accident have been contacted and information is being collected about the others. According to the Embassy, ​​the Indians who lost their lives in the accident include Rajgopalan, Firoz Khan Pathan, Reshma Feroz Khan Pathan, Deepak Kumar, Jamaluddin, Kiran Johnny, Vasudev and Tilakram Jawahar Thakur.

The incident happened when the bus traveling from Oman was heading towards the Rashidiya Metro Station from the wrong direction. Due to colliding with the signboard, the windows of the bus were broken. Most of the people who lost their lives in the accident were sitting on the left side. Indian Consulate has expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

In a tweet, the embassy said, “The officials reached the hospital to meet the injured and their families. Victims have been assured all possible help. Officers also met hospital and police administration personnel for the treatment of the injured.”
