Home Minister, Delhi CM hold meeting, Corona testing to be ramped up in Delhi

In view of the ever increasing corona infection in the capital Delhi, the central and state governments held a meeting to stop the spread of the virus. Several important decisions were taken in the nearly hour-long meeting of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lt. Governor Anil Baijal with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After this meeting, Amit Shah said that the Modi government is committed to stop the Corona case in Delhi.

He said that in view of the shortage of beds of Covid-19 in Delhi, the Modi government will provide 500 railway coaches to Delhi. Not only 8000 beds of Corona will be built from these 500 railway coaches but these railway coaches will be equipped with all the equipment in the fight against Covid-19.

Testing in Delhi to be increased by three times in coming days

Amit Shah said that after 6 days the testing will be increased to three times. The number of corona virus investigations in Delhi will double in the next 2 days and triple in the next six days. Apart from this, there will be door-to-door health survey in Delhi’s Containment Zone. The Union Home Minister said that today in a meeting with Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, several important decisions have been taken to stop the corona and protect the people of Delhi from it.

Committee headed by Paul for beds in private hospitals

The Union Home Minister said that under the chairmanship of Dr. Paul to provide 60% of the corona beds of private hospitals for the treatment of corona in private hospitals in Delhi at a low rate, to fix the corona treatment and corona testing  a committee has been formed which will submit its report by Monday. He said that India is fighting strongly with Corona and the government is sad for the people who lost their lives due to this infection and is sensitive towards their families. The government has decided to release new guidelines for the funeral, which will reduce the waiting period for the funeral.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi and the central government will fight together against Corona. The meeting of the Center and Delhi Government on Corona was fruitful. The meeting was attended by Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendra Jain and AIIMS Director as well as other senior officials. At the same time, CM Kejriwal will also hold a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 June.

Corona continues to record record cases in the capital Delhi. After 2134 new cases of corona infection in Delhi on Saturday, the total number of infected people in the capital increased to 38,958, while the total number of deaths increased to 1,271 after 57 new death cases were reported. This was the second day in Delhi when more than 2 thousand cases of infection have occurred in a single day. A day before that, 2,137 cases of corona were reported in Delhi on Friday. Delhi ranks third in the country after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu in cases of corona virus infection.

This uncontrollable pace of Corona in Delhi has made the government sleepless. In such a situation, both the Center and the state government are looking serious for its prevention.
