BSNL to offer free unlimited calls from landline on Sundays from Aug 15
BSNL to offer free unlimited call to any network through its landline
In an effort to win back customers Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has rolled out its latest plan which offers free unlimited calling on any network. Unlimited free calling scheme from BSNL landline to any network’s mobile and landline will be available on all Sundays on pan India basis from August 15, 2016 onwards. This is in addition to the night hour scheme wherein one can make free calls to any operator between 9pm to 7am every day.
“The competent authority on recommendation of tariff committee – CFA (Consumer Fixed Access) has approved unlimited free calling from BSNL landline to any network’s mobile and landline on all Sundays on pan India basis with effect from August 15, 2016,” read the press statement issued by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) headquarters Delhi.
The circular is a major step by the operator, since no similar scheme is in existance in the portfolios of its competitors. “The scheme will be announced by the Ministry of Telecom this Sunday and will be done in a major way,” said BSNL sources.
