Man hijacks school bus; attacks Principal
A bus filled with students from a public school in Bhagwanpur area was hijacked by a man. The driver was thrown out of the bus when he protested. The man entered the bus in the school and attacked the principal with a knife. After failing in his attempt he climbed the roof of the school to create a ruckus. The police somehow managed to overcome him.
Graphic public school is located in Sherpur village of Bhagwanpur. Students from many villages of UP come to study in it. On Saturday, the school bus carrying about 40 students was coming to the school via village Gadola, police station Gagalhedi, district Saharanpur, UP. A person stopped the bus near Gadola village. As soon as the bus stopped, the accused beat the driver and threw him out of the bus. He then ran the bus at a high speed. During this time the school students present in the bus kept shouting but he paid no heed. The accused entered the school with the bus.
Here, before anyone could take any action,the man attacked the principal and climbed on the roof of the school. The school management reported the matter to the police. On receiving the information, the station in-charge Sanjeev Thapliyal reached the spot with the police force. Police overcame the man on the roof of the school. In the inquiry, his identity was revealed to be Sandeep Kumar resident village Abha police station Gagalhedi, district Saharanpur. Station in-charge Sanjeev Thapliyal told that the school principal Vivek Tyagi gave the police a complaint. Police have registered a case against Sandeep Kumar in other sections including possessing a knife.
Could not pay child’s one year school fee
Police investigation has revealed that the accused was under mental stress. His wife died a year ago. Sandeep Kumar’s son is a Class III student in Graphic Public School. Police said that he was unable to pay the son’s fees due to poor family situation for a year. School teachers were repeatedly calling hisr son and asking him to pay the fees. Son was not going to school for about a month, due to which he was under mental pressure. It is feared that he took such a step due to pressure.
