Defense Min gives proof on Rafael issue; asks Rahul Gandhi to resign

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has reversed the charge and warning of Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi accused Nirmala Sitharaman of lying to Parliament in order to save Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it was lied to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to order a purchase of one lakh crore rupees. Rahul has claimed that HAL says that they did not get a single penny. Rahul, challenging Nirmala Sitharaman, challenged them to show evidence or resign, to which the Defense Minister has made the documents of deal with HAL made public public.

It has been tweeted on behalf of the Defense Minister and it has been told that when and how much money has been secured to deal with HAL. The Defense Minister has issued a document claiming that HAL has signed 26570.8 million deals between 2014-18. Whereas the deal worth 73000 million is in the pipeline. Claiming this, Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman challenged Rahul whether Rahul Gandhi will now apologize to the country before the Parliament and will resign?

Earlier Rahul Gandhi challenged Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and challenged them to show evidence or resign. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, ‘ When you speak a lie, you have to lie further to hide lies. In the eagerness to defend PM’s Rafael lie, the Defense Minister lied in Parliament. Defense Minister will have to show government order of 1 lakh crores with HAL. Or resign. ‘

Congress is accusing that the current government has done Rafael Deal with Anil Ambani instead of HAL and benefited from them. While the Modi Government says that the work of strengthening HAL in his reign has been done. While clarifying the allegations related to the Rafael Deal in Parliament, Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that continuous defense deals were being done by HAL. After which, Rahul Gandhi, citing a media report, had alleged that the defense company’s government company HAL is struggling with financial crisis and is forced to borrow money to pay its employees salaries.

Emphasizing the same allegation, Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala tweeted, ‘The defense minister was exposed. Defense Minister had claimed that HAL has been ordered to procure one lakh crore rupees. HAL says that they did not get a single penny because no single order was signed.’

Now the Defense Minister has issued a formal document and told Rahul Gandhi how much of the defense deals have been held with HAL and how many more are going to happen in the coming time.
