Now after 30 moves in the second game it was decided to end the match on a draw.

In the second game, Praggnanandhaa was playing with the white pieces. And at the beginning of the game he was well ahead of Carlsen, but he could not maintain this advantage, but the good thing was that Praggnanandhaa forced the world champion to play a draw in the second game as well. The first game on Tuesday was also a draw after more than four hours of play and 70 moves.

India’s 18-year-old Praggnanandhaa had defeated world number three Fabiano Caruana through tiebreak in the semi-finals on Monday and made it to the finals. He also became the third youngest player after the greats Bobby Fischer and Carlsen to qualify for the Candidates tournament. Earlier on Thursday too, the first game played between the two ended in a draw after 35 moves, but it was prolonged as Carlsen, playing with the black pieces, went for the win, but Praggnanandhaa was equally upto task.
