Maharashtra gov receives 7000 applications from mostly graduates for 13 waiter vacancies

7 thousand people applied for 13 posts of canteen waiters in the Ministry of State (State Secretariat) Maharashtra, most of whom were graduates. A government official said that a written examination of 100 marks was held recently for these posts. Academic Qualification for them is fourth pass. He said, “The formalities of the examination were completed on December 31 and the process of joining is underway. Of the 13 candidates selected, eight are men and five are women. Two-three people have not yet submitted the documents and have not started working officially.

Most applicants Graduate

He told that 12 out of the selected candidates are graduate while one is 12th pass. There were maximum graduate candidates for these 13 posts and the remaining 12 were pass. Selected candidates are 25-27 years old. Criticizing the state government when the graduates were appointed as waiters in the Ministry Canteen, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde said that ministers and secretaries should be ashamed about taking services of educated people.

NCP leader said, “For just 13 posts, 7,000 applications are a clear example of job situation in the country and Maharashtra. It is unfortunate that the graduates were elected for these posts while the qualifying was the fourth pass. ‘
