New Zealand hand India their biggest defeat in terms of balls remaining in 4th ODI

Trent Boult picks 5 as India bundled out for 92

After winning the series in the 3rd ODI itself team India looked like handing out a 5-0 drubbing to the black caps. But the hosts did not only bounce back after a hattrick of defeats, they handed team India its biggest defeat in terms of balls remaining. Batting first pacer Trent Boult ripped through the Indian batting unit with this swing and speed. He picked up 5 wickets. Boult gave away just 21 runs in his 5 overs while claiming the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya. India’s batting woes can be gauged from the fact that legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal top scored with 18 runs. The visitors were skittled out inside 31 overs.

In reply New Zealand made quick work of the target winning inside 15 overs due to which the 100 over match was finished even before the half way mark of 50 overs. The black caps lost 2 wickets in the chase of 92 runs. Both the wickets fell to Bhuwaneshwar Kumar. Ross Taylor and Henry Nicolls took New Zealand to victory with 212 balls to spare.
