Time schedule of several trains for Dehradun impacted due to heavy rains

Incessant rains are becoming a problem in Uttarakhand. Due to heavy rains, rail operations are also getting badly affected. Trains coming and going from Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun to Delhi, UP and other states have to be cancelled or are running late by several hours. The Jan Shatabdi Express from Dehradun to Delhi had to be canceled on Monday morning.

Due to the cancellation of the train, the railway passengers had to face a lot of trouble. Nanda Devi Express, Kathgodam Express and Janta Express coming to Dehradun have been stopped at Haridwar only. In such a situation, the passengers had to reach their destination by road route.

The operation of trains going from Dehradun started after 7 am, however, the operation of trains coming to Dehradun did not started till 11 am. Vande Bharat, which runs between Dehradun-Delhi, left about four and a half hours late than its usual time of 7:00 A.M.

The Kathgodam Express halted at Kansro for 7 hours on the way. Whereas, it left Dehradun at 11:30 pm yesterday, reached Haridwar at 07:40 am. Jan Shatabdi, Dehradun Saharanpur Passenger is cancelled. Kathgodam, Janta Express, Nanda Devi Express have come till Haridwar only.

Rail services were disrupted due to snapping of electric wire at Raiwala near Haridwar. The operation of five trains coming and going from Dehradun has been affected.
