The weather in Uttarakhand changed on Monday, January 21. Bright sunshine this past week was replaced by dark clouds. This brought down the temperatures. On Tuesday, on the warning of bad weather and hail warning from the Department of Meteorology Department, Haridwar District Magistrate Deepak Rawat has declared all the government and private schools and Anganwadi centers of class I to XII in the district on January 22. In order the order, the District Magistrate has also appealed to people to remain in homes, offices in the case of heavy hail.

Dehradun DM S Murugesan too has issued an order to close government and private schools in Dehradun district on the 22nd Jan. According to the State Meteorological Center, heavy snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh is expected on Tuesday. Apart from this, hail along with rain can fall in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital and Udhamsinghnagar. Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, said that there is Western disturbance in the state. This situation can last for about one week. Even in Kumaon, weather patterns are changing. In the hills of Tarai and Bhabar, the weather changed. Given the weather conditions in Nainital, the possibility of snowfall has increased.
