Students reportedly missing in JNU violence

A case of assault and violence with students by entering the hostel of the country’s prestigious university Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was reported on Sunday evening. Some unknown people with a handkerchief over their mouth entered inside the hostel with sticks in their hands and beat the students. In this attack, JNU Students Union (JNUSU) President Aishi Ghosh has also been badly injured. She has suffered a serious head injury.

After the attack, Aishi Ghosh said, ‘I have been brutally killed by goons wearing masks. I’m bleeding I was brutally beaten up’.

JNUSU accusses ABVP of carrying out attack

The JNU Students Union (JNUSU) has claimed that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has carried out this violence. JNU alumnus Omar Khalid has blamed ABVP for this incident by tweeting. He wrote, ‘A large number of ABVP students gathered outside Sabarmati Dhaba of JNU. They had sticks and rods in their hands. They were breaking glass of hostels and cars. JNUSU President Aishi Ghosh was beaten badly. A lot of blood was coming out of her head.

ABVP accuses Left organizations

At the same time, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has accused people associated with Left student organizations SFI, AISA, DSF for the assault.

About 15 students have suffered serious injuries in this attack. At the same time, 11 students are reportedly missing since the incident.
