US President Donald Trump promises to change H1-B Visa rules

US President Donald Trump on Friday assured H-1B visa aspirants and holders that their administration will make such changes soon, so that they will have the confidence of staying in the US and that will make them “a potential route for citizenship.” Most H- 1B visa holders are IT professionals. Trump tweeted on Friday that his administration is planning to make changes in American policies in the H-1B visa and it will encourage talented and highly skilled people to pursue a career in the US.
Trump tweeted on Friday: “H1-B holders in the United States can rest assured that changes are soon coming which will bring both simplicity and certainty to your stay, including a potential path to citizenship. We want to encourage talented and highly skilled people to pursue career options in the U.S. ”
Trump’s tweet has come as a good news for Indian professionals and especially IT professionals, who have to wait for almost a decade in getting green card or permanent legal residence. In the first two years of Presidential rule, the Trump administration made it difficult for H-1B visa holders to stay, expand, and obtain new visas for longer periods of time. Indian IT professionals are very interested in H-1B visas. This is a non-immigration visa in which American companies employ foreign workers.
