17 dead in Karol Bagh hotel fire

In Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, a fire broke out at the Hotel Arpit Palace early on Tuesday. 17 people were reported dead in the tragedy. Most of the people who died were tourists and others who came to visit the country’s capital Delhi. People from Myanmar and Kochi are also included in this. According to eyewitnesses, many people took pillows to cushion the impact from jumping off the fourth floor to save lives after the fire, but they could not survive. Most of the dead are from Kerala. Delhi’s CM Kejriwal also reached the spot and he announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the relatives of the family while expressing grief over the incident. At the same time, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Najeeb Jung also arrived and took stock of the situation.

Income tax commissioner Suresh Kumar also died in the accident. He was originally a resident of Panchkula and was posted in Delhi. The injured also includes a foreign woman. She is a resident of Myanmar. This woman jumped to avoid fire. She is undergoing treatment at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
A total of 13 people were brought to the RML hospital, all were dead. Five have been identified, in which two people were members of Hindustan Petroleum. 8 out of 13 people have died due to knee injury and the rest from burns.

The police said that there was a fierce fire in a hotel-Arpit palace in Delhi’s Karol Bagh on Tuesday. 17 people, including a child, were killed in the fire, while three were seriously injured. According to Chief Fire Officer, 2 people jumped from the building. Some other people are also suspected to be trapped in the hotel. Fire Brigade is involved in the rescue operation. Fire Department Deputy Superintendent Sunil Chaudhary said that 17 people were killed after the fire broke out at the Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh. Although the fire has been extinguished.

On the other hand, the bodies are being brought out. Rescue and relief work is currently underway. According to the fire department, there was a fire in the Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh. As soon as the information was received, 26 fire engines arrived on the spot and rescue and relief operations were started.

A video has also surfaced in which a man is trying to save his life by jumping off the roof. The incident occurred when people were in deep sleep.

It is being told that there are 40 rooms in the hotel. 35 people of the same family who came from Kerala have been rescued, while some are seriously injured. It is believed that the fire was caused by a short circuit. Ten people from the same family who came from Kerala were staying in the Hotel Arpit Palace.

On the information of the incident, the minister Satyendra Jain has ordered an inquiry into fire safety in all the hotels of Karol Bagh. The minister said that the rules of building sub rules have been largely ignored. Instead of 4, 5-storey buildings have come up without permission.
