Train accident near Milan claims 3 lives; over 100 injured

At least 3 people died and over 100 others were injured after a train derailed near Milan in Italy. The condition of 10 in the injured is being reported as critical. The accident took place at around 7 a.m.  local time. The train with 6 coaches ran from the cremona at 5:30 in the morning. According to the reports, fire fighters were seen gathering in the coach trying to evacuate the injured passengers.
Confirming the number of dead, an official of the fire department said that the train was completely filled with passengers. He said that at least 10 people are seriously injured. The injured were carried out on stretcher. Three helicopters were deployed on the accident site and one helicopter was patrolling the area to immediately bring the injured to the hospital.

The cause of the accident in Segret, suburb of Milan, is not yet known. Most of the passengers were either students or were going to their work. This is the worst rail accident in Italy since July 2016. In July 2016, 23 people died due to the collision of 2 high speed passenger trains in the Pugilla area.
