28 dead across 3 states from poisonous alcohol

Once again in the three states of the country, poisonous liquor has wreaked havoc. More than two dozen people have died in Bihar, UP and Uttarakhand after drinking poisonous liquor. Seeing the scale of the incident the UP government has initiated a probe. Bihar and Uttarakhand government are also expected to take action soon.

7 people die in Roorkee

7 people have died after drinking poisonous liquor in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. However, according to news agency ANI, the number of deaths has now gone upto 12. Due to which the death has spread in many villages. In total, raw liquor has killed about two dozen people in the entire state. Such stories are also coming from Bihar where raw liquor has wreaked havoc. After the matter came to light, the Uttarakhand government suspended 13 officers and employees of Excise Department. Also, 4 policemen, including Pradip Mishra, in-charge of Jhabreda Police Station in Roorkee, have been suspended.

5 dead in Deoband

5 people were reported dead in Deoband area of ​​Saharanpur district, while 10 people are reported to be critical. All have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. This incident has stirred up the district administration.

9 people killed in Kushinagar

Due to poisonous liquor in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar, 9 people died two days ago. In this case the Yogi government of the province has ordered an inquiry. In addition, an Excise and four police personnel have been suspended. After this incident the district officials have become alert.
