3 scientists dead in Iran space station fire

Three scientists have died due to a fire in Iran’s space station. The country’s semi-official news agency, ISNA, gave this information on Sunday.

In a report on Sunday, Iranian telecommunications minister Mohammad Javad Azhari Jahromi told that three researchers have died due to a fire in a building in the space research center of the country. No further details of the incident were reported in the report.

Despite US warnings, Iran has planned to launch a satellite. This can strengthen its ballistic missile program. Iran had left a satellite in January, but authorities said that it failed to reach the orbit due to technical reasons. Iran has left many satellites in the past decade.
