48 people dead in bus accident on Peru’s Devil’s curve

A bus collapsed below the hill after colliding with a truck in an area,named Devil’s Curve in Peru. At least 48 people were killed in this accident.

Officials said that the bus was travelling to Lima was coming from Hacho with 55 passengers. An accident occurred at the same time. The bus fell down 100 meters down the hill and turned over the rocks on the seashore The Home Ministry posted on its website that “at least 48 people have been killed in Tana.” Earlier the authorities had confirmed the killing of 36 people.

Police say that due to the tide and waves, the work of lifting dead bodies was stopped at night. Many people have survived the tragedy.
