Mortal remains of army major martyred in Rajouri brought to Dehradun

The body of Major Chitresh Bisht, who gave up his life for the nation while diffusing an IED bomb in Rajouri, has reached Dehradun today. The body of the martyr was brought from Air Force aircraft to Jollygrant Airport. Meanwhile, the army officers paid homage to the martyr there.

According to the information, the martyr’s funeral will be done on Monday. So the body of the major has been taken directly from the airport to the army hospital. On Monday morning, his last trip will be taken out. After which he will be cremated.

Major Chitresh Singh died in the IED blast on Saturday in Rajouri of Kashmir. The blast took place when they were defusing IED bomb. Major Chitresh had passed out in the year 2010 from the Indian Military Academy Dehradun. At present he was in the Engineering Corps of the Army. After doing engineering, Major Chitresh won many medals in his name. That was the reason that he always used to be ahead of other officers in technical problems. In just seven years of work, Major Chitresh diffused more than 30 IEDs. On Saturday, he was able to defuse four IEDs. However, he was martyred when the fifth IED blasted.

He was the son of retired inspector SS Bisht of Uttarakhand Police. Originally from Almora, Major Chitresh’s family now lives in the Nehru Colony area of ​​the capital.

He was supposed to get married after 18 days. After the news of their son’s martyrdom, the preparations for the marriage turned into mourning. The person who heard the news, began to reach the home of the Bisht family. At the same time, Cabinet Minister Prakash Pant also reached the house to pay his condolence to the family.
