Schools in Dehradun to remain closed on February 8

The weather changed the course and there was plenty rainfall in the plains, including Dehradun. The skies remained cloudy throughout the day. Rainfall occurred in the hills, there were snowfall in many elevated areas in the mountains. The Meteorological Department has also forecast rain and snowfall on Friday.

Due to the possibility of heavy rains in the hill areas of Dehradun, including the possibility of heavy rains in the next 24 hours and the mood of the weather, the district magistrate has ordered the closure of all the schools and colleges from classes 1 to 12 in the district on Friday.

At the same time, on Friday, in Tehri, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Almora and Bageshwar, orders have been issued to stop the educational institutions and anganwadi centers on February 8. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there was cloud cover across the state from Thursday morning. There have been rains in many districts of the state including the capital.

Snowfall also started in elevated areas. This has resulted in decrease in temperature across the state. Meteorological director Bikram Singh said that there will be cloudy weather on Friday throughout the state. In many places light snow can be accompanied by moderate rainfall.

Snowfall is expected in places with altitude of more than 2000 meters. Due to rain and snowfall, temperatures will continueto decrease on Friday. There will be cloudy and rain in the capital also on Friday.
