Stir among officials as scholarship scam is exposed

After the arrest of the college director of a college in Roorkee in scholarship scandal, there is a stir among the officials. Officers who fraudulently verified the students are also afraid of their arrest.

SIT has clarified its intentions by first arrest on the scholarship scam case. In the investigation till now, the SIT team has found the most discripancies in private colleges of Haridwar. Ankur Sharma, MD of the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), Roorkee, was arrested on Tuesday in this scandal.

It was found in the inquiry that in two sessions, the college had given scholarship of Rs 6.29 crore. The registration of the students was shown in a fake manner. At that time, SDM Haridwar not only verified the students of this college but also verified the students in four other colleges. It was also revealed in the investigation that now the officer posted in Dehradun has just verified the students after watching the work register. Which is a big irregularity in itself. To make the action effective, the SIT has now begun preparations for direct action on officials.

The bank opening the account also under the scope of action

SIT sources believe that the bank opening the accounts of the students has now come under the jurisdiction. Because not only different accounts have been opened on the same mobile number, but their accounts were opened even without the presence of the students.

SIT investigation of minority commission scholarship now

Uttarakhand Minority Commission has been recommended to conduct SIT in minority scholarship after the fake scholoarship scam of social welfare department. After the complaints coming in the scholarship cases, the commission took this decision. At the same time, the Chairman of the Commission Dr RK Jain expressed surprise at not examining the minority welfare scholarship distribution.

The complaint of minority scholarship reached the minority commission. During the hearing the students said that they did not get scholarship. Students allege that such complaints have already been made many times, but the department has always avoided the investigation.

The Commission has sent a letter to the government regarding the SIT probe of the minority post-scholarship. It is understood that after the start of scholarship online, applications have fallen by 50 percent.

Police officers are missing, no hearing

Five complaints were related to the police in the hearing of the commission, but the concerned police officers were not present during the hearing. On this, the Chairman of the Commission Dr. RK Jain instructed the concerned officers to send the notice. Apart from these, complaints of drinking water, electricity, ration, employment, irrigation and many other departments were reported.
