This Zoo will name cockroach after your Ex and feed it to meerkat on Valentine’s Day
On February 14 when most of the people will be busy doing things to win over their loved ones, a Zoo in US is doing something for the heartbroken. El Paso Zoo in Texas has come up with a unique way to get over your breakup this Valentine. In a viral facebook post on the Zoo’s official page, says “Naming a cockroach after your ex, of course! Message us your ex’s name and we’ll name a cockroach after them! We’ll post names (First and last name initial!) starting February 11 here on Facebook! Watch on Facebook Live or on our website’s Meerkat webcam on Valentine’s Day at 2:15 pm to see them devour these little bugs!”.
As part of their “Quit Bugging Me!!!” program, the zoo invites the public to message the zoo the name of an ex.
The zoo will then name a cockroach in their dishonor. Since the program first garnered attention on Monday, the zoo has gotten such a huge reaction that they’re planning to make the program even bigger.
“We’ve had a TREMENDOUS response to our Quit Bugging Me event! So much that we have decided to spread the love to some of our other animals here at the zoo!” the zoo wrote in a Facebook post.
Now, not only can you “feed” your ex to a meerkat. You can also feed them to a cotton-top tamarin, a golden tamarin and a white-headed marmoset.
