Gautam Gambhir joins BJP

Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir has joined the BJP. In the presence of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Gautam Gambhir joined BJP. It is being told that he can become a serious candidate from the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat.

After joining BJP, Gautam Gambhir said that “I have joined the BJP after being influenced by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I am thankful to the BJP for giving me a chance to do something for the country. Whatever order the party will be, I will follow it.”

During this, Arun Jaitley said that BJP will benefit from Gautam Gambhir joining the party. He will campaign as a party worker. On the question of contesting elections, Jaitley said that the election campaign committee will decide it.

On field Gambhir wore his heart on his sleeve. Whether it is a 97-run innings against Sri Lanka in the 2011 Cricket World Cup final or the 2007 T-20 World Cup final against Pakistan in the final, where he scored a match winning 75 runs taking India’s score sto 157. Every cricket lover remembers Gautam Gambhir for his these two innings. The south-paw was also involved in on field battles with opposition players.

New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency has been the BJP’s stronghold since many yearsh, so many party leaders and union ministers want to contest from this constituency. The name of cricketer Gautam Gambhir has sprung up in the race with the claim of current MP Meenakshi Lekhi.
