Goa CM Manohar Parrikar no more

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has died. He was suffering from cancer for a long time. Over the past few days, his condition had worsened. After this he was admitted to Goa Medical College. Doctors tried to improve his condition, but his health continued to fall. Politicians, cinemas, sports and personalities associated with the art world have expressed deep sorrow. Manohar Parrikar, who was the Chief Minister of Goa and had served as the Defense Minister of the country, was a living example of simplicity in politics.

63-year-old Parrikar was battling pancreatic disease. He breathed his last at his private residence near Panaji. Manohar Parrikar, who was the Chief Minister of Goa, was on this post from March 14, 2017. Before that, he was Chief Minister of Goa from 2000 to 2005 and then from 2012 to 2014. He was also a member of the Business Advisory Committee. After the formation of NDA government in 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Parrikar was called at the Center, he resigned from the post of Chief Minister and took charge of the Defense Minister. After becoming the Defense Minister, he had to become a Member of Parliament and for this, he became a Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh. BJP President Amit Shah has condoled the demise of Parrikar.
