Karnataka govt suspends Ola cabs license for six months

The Transport Department of Karnataka has suspended the license of cab operator Ola for the next six months. Ola is the leading company providing taxi booking service on App. The Transport Department said that the company will have to submit its license within three days after receipt of its order. At the same time, it has to stop its taxi booking service immediately from Friday.

The Department said that the company has violated the Karnataka On-Demand Transportation Technology Aggregators Rule-2016, company ANI Technologies Private Limited Bangalore, which operates Ola. In this regard, the license of the Deputy Transport Commissioner and Senior Regional Transport Officer, Bengaluru (South), is suspended for six months on the basis of the report.

Ola said that it is a law abiding company and they are working on all options to resolve the matter with cordiality.
