MiG-27 crashes in Jodhpur; pilot ejects safely

A MiG-27 UPG aircraft of Indian Air Force crashed on Sunday in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. According to Sirohi district collector, the pilot is safe.

According to the information, the plane crashed in the village near Shivganj. At that time, the MiG-27 aircraft of the IAF was on its routine mission at that time. There is no information of any kind of damage. SP Kalyan Mal Meena has confirmed about the incident. The reasons for the accident will be investigated. Earlier, a MiG-21 aircraft had crashed in Bikaner too.

The MiG-21 Bison fighter aircraft of the IAF had crashed in Bikaner, Rajasthan. A spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense said that on Friday, the aircraft had taken off from Nal airbase near Bikaner that the plane collided with a bird, which led to the accident, the aircraft was on its regular mission. On receiving the information of the incident, the Air Force team has left the scene.

Bikaner SP Pradeep Mohan Sharma said that the MiG-21 aircraft crashed in the building of Shobhasar, 12 km from Bikaner town, the police team has reached the accident site. There is no loss of  life in the accident.

This is the second occurrence of the MiG-21 Bison aircraft crash in recent times. The incidents of the crash of MiG aircraft have become very common now because these aircraft have been around five decades old and demand for these aircraft replacement is being done for a long time.
