3 Day Heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand

After the weather had been normal for the last few days in Uttarakhand, once again the rain could run havoc in the hill state. Orange alert of rain has been issued in 8 districts of the state today on July 19 and for tomorrow July 20, the Meteorological Department has maintained the red alert as per its previous estimate. During these two days, travelers including the people of the state have been advised to avoid traveling especially in the hilly areas of the state. There is a possibility of heavy rain in total 8 districts including Dehradun, while torrential rains have started in Badrinath Dham and Hemkund Sahib as well as Udham Singh Nagar district.

While issuing the forecast of heavy rain on Tuesday in Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts, the Meteorological Department also issued instructions and about the weather alert for the next few days. Very heavy rain is forecast on Wednesday, rain will be comparatively less on July 21 and 22, so a yellow alert has been issued for Thursday and Friday.

There is a red alert for July 20, but there will be an orange alert for the remaining 5 districts of Uttarkashi, Haridwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Almora. That is, tomorrow’s rain can create many problems in many parts of the state. After this, there will be a yellow alert in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar on 21st and Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts on 22nd in terms of heavy rains.
