India vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI: Virat hits 72nd International ton

Virat Kohli scored a brilliant century in the third match of the three ODI series against Bangladesh. He played an innings of 113 runs in Chittagong on Saturday (10 December). Virat hit 11 fours and two sixes in his 91-ball innings. This is the 44th century of Kohli’s ODI career. At the same time, his 72 centuries in international cricket were completed.

Virat has gone ahead of former Australia captain Ricky Ponting in terms of scoring the most international centuries. Virat has scored 72 centuries in 482 international matches. Ponting has scored 71 centuries in 560 matches. Only former Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar is now ahead of Kohli. He scored 100 centuries in 664 matches.

In the match, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. Shikhar Dhawan got out after scoring three runs in the fifth over. After him Virat Kohli and Ishaan Kishan handled the innings. Both shared a 290-run partnership for the second wicket. Kishan was dismissed after scoring 210 runs off 131 balls. He became the fourth batsman for India and the seventh batsman in the world to score a double century in ODIs.
