Storming warming in Uttarakhand over next two days

In seven districts of Uttarakhand, there is a possibility of thunderstorms on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert, considering the possibility of wind speeds at 60 to 70 kmph.

According to the bulletin released by the Meteorological Center, on Wednesday, there is an estimated cloud cover in most parts of the state. Light rain can also occur in some areas including the capital Dehradun. Also, some areas with elevation are expected to have slight snowfall.

There may be rains in most parts of the state on Thursday. In the capital Doon, Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Pithoragarh, there is a possibility of rainfall and thunderstorm.

Meteorological director Bikram Singh said that despite cloud cover and light rainfall on Wednesday, the weather will not be very cold. The maximum and minimum temperature will remain around normal.

Snowfall on the hills of Munsiyari

On Monday night, there was light showers in the lower areas including Munsiyari market. Snowfall occured on the peaks. By the evening, there was snowfall on the high peaks of Munsiyari, Panchachuli, Hansling, Rajrambha etc. People are surprised by the snowfall in March. In the coming days, the possibility of rain, snow is being expressed. If the weather is bad then its impact will be on Holi and elections too.

Kedarnath temperature reaches 22 degrees Celsius

In Kedarnath, the weather was pleasant since morning and there was bright sunlight throughout the day. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature was 22 degree and minimum minus 8 degrees. More than 12 feet of snow still exists in Dham, due to which it is not possible to start the rebuilding work this month.

In Chamoli’s Joshimath, the roof of the tin of two houses was blown up by a storm on Monday night in the Lyari-Thaina village. With the roof flying, food items kept inside the house and other essential materials also were damaged. At night the villagers took refuge in other people’s houses. The victim families have leaded for compensation from the administration.
