The Indian team has been announced for the 12th edition of the ICC World Cup. On Monday, 15-member Indian team was selected for Cricket’s biggest tournament. All India senior selection committee announced the team on Monday, 15 April. Rishabh Pant has not been given the place in the team. Dinesh Karthik has been given an opportunity.

BCCI’s selection committee president MSK Prasad said that due to the experience of wicketkeeping in the big matches, Karthik was selected. World Cup-2019 will be played in England and Wales from May 30 to July 14. The BCCI issued the names of the players who got the World Cup ticket on their Twitter handle. India will be going to the World Cup with three specialist seamers.

Young Vijay Shankar, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja have been able to make the place in the 15-member team of India. The 21-year-old Pant till Sunday has scored 245 runs, while Karthik has scored 111 runs in the ongoing IPL. 33-year-old Kartik has played 91 ODIs so far, while Pant represented Team India in 5 ODI.
