Tourists to be allowed in Mussoorie only if proof of 7 days booking shown

Tourists coming to Mussoorie will get entry only after bringing proof of booking for seven days. SDM Mussoorie Premlal informed that arrangements for tourists have been fixed under Unlock 2.0.

According to the SDM, every tourist who comes to Mussoorie must have a report of corona negative issued in the last 72 hours. Tourists will have to get their health tested by showing this report. Anyone who does not have this report will have to be quarantined for seven days. People of Uttarakhand can go anywhere without any restriction.

He said that if the local residents of Mussoorie come to Mussoorie from the Red Zone, then they will have to have to spend seven days in institutional quarantine and seven days in home quarantine. A joint team of police, health and local administration has been formed for people coming to Mussoorie. They will be stationed at Kolukhet. No one will be allowed to enter Mussoorie from ten o’clock in the night to seven in the morning.

Special vigilance on Kimadi-Mussoorie route on weekends

Apart from restricting traffic at night on Kimadi-Mussoorie route, now traffic will be controlled on weekends. From here, very few vehicles will be allowed in the day. For this, barriers at Dehradun entry point have been installed.

An Innova car fell into a deep gorge on Saturday night. Two people were killed and two were injured in the accident. A car had also crashed a day earlier. A total of five passengers were injured in it. Keeping in mind both these cases and old incidents, DIG Arun Mohan Joshi had considered keeping the journey closed at night. In the meantime, the movement on this route was banned from the administration at night.

Now on Tuesday, the police have installed barriers here.
