It will be flagged off from Dehradun on April 8 for Varanasi. It is worth mentioning that the Dehradun-Varanasi Janata Express was closed two months ago by the Railways. With the cancellation of the train, the passengers that had to go to Varanasi, via Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh had to face a lot of difficulties.

The demand for the re-operation of the train arose several times, but the railway management did not operate the train. Last year, the order came from the Railway Board that the train will be operated from April 15, but considering the difficulties of the passengers, it has now decided to operate it from April 7 a week before the scheduled date of the Railway Administration.
