Former CM Nishank gets relief from Nainital HC

Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and BJP MP from Haridwar, Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, has got great relief from Nainital High Court. Judge Justice Alok Singh’s single bench has canceled the petition challenging his nomination.

Dehradun resident Manish Verma had filed a petition challenging the nomination of Dr Nishank. It was said that Dr. Nishank has hidden many facts in the affidavit given in the nomination papers. Dr. Nishank has not mentioned the bank accounts of his daughter Shreyasi & Vidushi Nishank. He also did not mention the outstanding payment of the Chief Minister’s house. No dues certificate of MP house has also not been levied. Instead, Dr. Nishank has made provisional certificates.

Dr. Nishank said in response to the returning officer that Shreyasi is self-reliant. At the same for MP hosue he said that he is still a parliamentarian. After returning officer was satisfied with the reply of Nishank, the objection was rejected, after which Manish Verma filed a petition challenging the order to cancel the objection. While hearing the petition, Judge Justice Alok Singh’s single bench has canceled the petition challenging the nomination.
