PNB revises FD rates w.e.f 1st May

Punjab National Bank (PNB), has revised interest rates on its fixed deposit on some of the selected maturities from May 1, 2019. After the new revision, the bank has reduced the interest rate on fixed deposits of 333 days maturity. There is an increase in interest rates of FD with one year duration. According to the bank’s website www.pnbindia.in, the bank is giving 6.95 percent interest to the general public and 7.45 percent interest rate for the senior citizens in fixed deposits of 333 days maturity period.

Interest rate of 7.1 and 7.6 percent on FD

Earlier, the bank had paid interest rates of 7.1 percent and 7.6 percent, respectively, on the FD of these maturities. PNB will now pay 7 percent on the fixed deposit of one year’s maturity, and 7.5 percent interest rate for senior citizens.

New interest rate applicable from 1st May

Earlier this interest rate was 6.75 percent and 7.25 percent, respectively. However, the bank has kept interest rates unchanged on other maturities. These interest rates are applicable up to Rs 2 crore.
