Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana portal launched to boost entrepreneurship in state

Now online application can also be made under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana. The scheme’s website msy.uk.gov.in has been launched on Tuesday. The Chief Minister’s IT Advisor Ravindra Dutt said that the website of Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana has been hosted in the State Data Center at IT Park, Government of Uttarakhand.

For online application under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana, the applicant will have to register with website and create a login ID. By logging in with this ID, your name, address, educational qualification, mobile number, PAN number etc. along with personal details will have to be given details of the proposed entity, product / service, investment, funded bank etc. Hindi or English language option can be selected for the application.

On May 28, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched the Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana. The scheme has been launched to encourage entrepreneurship youth of Uttarakhand and migrant workers returned to the state due to Covid-19 for self-employment. Under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana, skilled and unskilled artisans, handicraftsmen and unemployed youth will be encouraged to start their own business. Under the scheme, loan facility will be made available to the beneficiaries through nationalized banks, scheduled commercial banks and cooperative banks.

The margin money will be provided as a grant under the scheme by the MSME Department. The maximum cost of project in the manufacturing sector will be Rs 25 lakh and the maximum cost for the service and business sector will be Rs 10 lakh. As per MSME policy, the maximum limit for margin money in classified category A will be 25 percent of the total project cost, 20 percent in category B and up to 15 percent of the total project cost in C and D category as margin money. The margin money will be adjusted as grant after successful operation of the enterprise for two years. Under the scheme, 10 percent of the project cost by general category beneficiaries while special category beneficiaries will have to submit five percent of the total project cost as their own contribution.
