EU approves Johnson and Johnson Corona vaccine

The drug regulator of the European Union (EU) has approved the single dose corona vaccine of Johnson & Johnson. This is the fourth vaccine to have been approved for use in countries in the European Union, after vaccines from Pfizer-BioNotech, AstraZeneca-Oxford University and Moderna. People over 18 years of age will be given this vaccine. The specialty of this vaccine it is a single dose vaccine which will be able to protect against corona infection.

European Medicines Agency (EMA) executive director Emer Cooke said the approval would provide an additional option for countries in the EU to fight pandemics and protect the health of their people. After the EMA, the European Commission has also given final approval to the vaccine. Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine has also been approved in the US, Canada and Bahrain.
