IOC opening of CNG pump in Haldwani

Municipal corporation’s first CNG pump in the state will open in Haldwani. For this, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has given the green signal. Municipal corporation Haldwani-Kathgodam will soon start construction work. A proposal was made to install CNG and petrol-diesel pumps in the city board meeting held last year. After this, the corporation administration had sought permission from the Indian Oil Corporation for this.

On Tuesday, a letter has been sent to the Municipal Corporation on behalf of IOC’s Chief Divisional Retail Sales Manager Neeraj Kansal. In which CNG and petrol-diesel pump operations have been allowed with certain conditions. The pump is proposed on the land near the Municipal Commissioner Housing on Nainital Road. The Municipal Corporation will operate this pump. Mayor Dr. Jogendra Rautela has described this as a huge step for the income generation of the Municipal Corporation. He added that construction work will be started soon.

IOC will give pump and storage tank

According to the information received, IOC will provide the tank and pump for storage in the pump. Two months time has also been given for all works including construction work.

These facilities will be mandatory

In its letter, the IOC has told the Municipal Corporation that the Permanent Sales Building at the pump as well as public restrooms, RCC-rich road, yard lighting, walls, chain link fencing and wind facilities must be provided.
