State run universities in Maharashtra to conduct term end exams in online mode

On the one hand in the second phase of the Covid-19 pandemic, classroom examinations in schools across the country are being canceled, students are being promoted to the next class without exams, on the other hand the final year or Class exams have either been postponed for the time being or preparations are being made to organize through alternative means. In this sequence, the Maharashtra government has decided that end-term examinations will be conducted in online mode in all state-run universities in the state. This decision has been taken by the government in view of the ever increasing cases of Kovid-19 infection in the state and the circumstances becoming uncontrolled.

According to the news of news agency PTI, Uday Samant, Minister of Higher and Technical Education gave information about this decision of Maharashtra Government. At the same time, Minister Uday Samant said that in addition to this he is going to request the state government to include the work related to the examination in the ‘Essential Services category’.

UG Courses examinations in 13 universities in online mode

Students should note that only under-graduate (UG) courses examinations are being conducted in online mode at 13 state-run universities in Maharashtra. Out of these, exams are already being conducted in online mode due to the Covid-19 epidemic in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Gondwana. However, for the examinations of other courses or regions, no official information has been given at the moment.

37 lakh students can be vaccinated in their institute

Minister Uday Samant also said, “We are trying to vaccinate students in the age group of 18-25 years. In these universities, 37 lakh students will be vaccinated in their respective institutes. ” However, the Education Minister said that a final decision in this regard is yet to be taken.
