Doonites could face power outages due to road expansion works

It is suggested to Doonites to keep their electronic gadgets charged, because the coming two weeks are going to be difficult for the electricity consumers. Consumers may have to deal with power cuts. According to a news report, the consumers of North Division, the distribution division of Energy Corporation, will have to face power shortage for the next few days. Between October 11 and 25, there will be shifting and upgradation of HT, LT lines due to widening of DL road from Sahasradhara crossing.

Technical improvement works are also to be done, due to which there will be power problem in more than 120 areas including Rajpur, Sahasradhara Road, Hathibarkala. Due to the shutdown on October 11 and 12, Vijaynagar, Shakti Vihar, Rajesh Rawat Colony, Chander Road, Shivalik Apartment, Old Dalanwala, Curjan Road, MDDA Colony, Dalanwala, Nalapani, Sikri Mohalla, Cement Road, Karanpur, Chuna Kiln, Tarla Amwala areas would be impacted.

There will be a power cut here from 11 am to 3 pm. There will also be power cut in Rishinagar, Kewal Vihar, Sumanpuri, Vikas Lok Lane-1 to 5, Adhoiwala, Adarsh ​​Vihar, Raksha Vihar, Ajanta Enclave from 10 am to 5 pm. While there will be power outage in Canal Road, Rajpur, Kairwan Village, Malsi, Doon Vihar, Anshal Valley, Jakhan, Kishanpur, Shaharshahi, Kuthal Village, Purukul Road, Deer Park, Makdet Village and Sai Mandir from 10 am to 1 pm.

There will be power problems in the areas connected with 33/11 KV Anarwala on 13 October, Sahasradhara feeder on 18 October and Hathibarkala feeder on 21 October. Similarly, in Mussoorie, there will be a shutdown from 10 am to 1 pm on 22 and 25 October at Kyarkuli, LBS and Kunj Bhavan feeders. For the next few days, the residents of Doon may have to face power shortage. Energy Corporation’s EE Prashant Bahuguna has appealed to the consumers for alternative arrangements.
