New guidelines: Now registration not mandatory for coming to Uttarakhand

In view of the continuously decreasing corona cases in the state of Uttarakhand, the government has abolished all the strict restrictions implemented for Covid 19. The strict restrictions issued so far for those coming to Uttarakhand from other states including UP, New Delhi have been abolished. Now tourists coming to Uttarakhand from other states will not have to register on the website of Smart City.

Now people will be able to move freely from the borders of the state. Now they will not even have to register on the smart city portal to come to the state. In such a situation, tourists have breathed a sigh of relief, on the other hand, the number of tourists visiting Uttarakhand will also increase. Chief Secretary SS Sandhu issued a new guide line regarding Covid 19 restrictions. The government started giving relaxations after the decline in Covid 19 infection in the state.

In the SOP issued on October 18, the government did away with most of the major restrictions. According to the Chief Secretary, some restrictions have also been put in place for the safety of vulnerable population. Citizens above 65 years of age, pregnant and lactating women will be allowed to go out of the house only for health related reasons or for essential work.
